Instructions
- Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, honey, and butter.
- Knead the Dough: Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- Shape the Honey Buns: Roll out the dough, cut it into strips, and coil them into a spiral shape.
- Bake or Fry: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-18 minutes, or fry until golden brown.
- Add the Glaze: Mix the powdered sugar, honey, and milk, then drizzle over the warm buns.
Notes
- For extra softness, brush the buns with melted butter before adding the glaze.
