Ingredients
Scale
For the Fries:
- 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Garlic Butter:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fries:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- Toss fries with vegetable oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20 minutes, flip fries, and bake another 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Make the Garlic Butter:
- In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant (avoid browning).
- Stir in parsley and lemon juice (if using). Remove from heat.
- Assemble and Serve:
- Drizzle garlic butter over hot fries or serve it as a dipping sauce.
- Garnish with extra parsley for presentation.
Notes
- Soaking the potatoes in water helps create ultra-crispy fries.
- Use an air fryer or deep fryer for even crispier results.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle fries with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
