Ingredients
Scale
For the BBQ Ribs:
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
For the Baked Beans:
- 2 cans (15 oz each) baked beans
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 small onion, diced
- ½ cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Prepare & Bake the Ribs:
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack over it.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for a tender texture.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over the ribs.
- Place ribs bone-side down on the prepared rack, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
-
Glaze & Grill the Ribs:
- Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil, and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Grill the ribs for 5–7 minutes per side, basting with more BBQ sauce, until caramelized and sticky.
-
Prepare the Baked Beans:
- In a medium saucepan, combine baked beans, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and diced onion.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens (10–15 minutes).
- Stir in crumbled bacon and season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
Serve & Enjoy:
- Slice the BBQ ribs into individual portions and serve with baked beans on the side.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or extra BBQ sauce, if desired.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to the baked beans or use smoked paprika in the rub.
- Slow cooking makes ribs ultra-tender, so don’t rush the baking process.
- Double-baste with BBQ sauce for extra sticky, caramelized ribs.
